The Best Character Meet And Greets at Disney’s Magic Kingdom

The Best Character Meet And Greets at Disney’s Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom is the most popular Disney World park and home to the majority of it’s popular characters.  Now let’s talk about some of the best character meet and greets at Disney.

Now that characters are often found indoors or stationed at tucked-away spots throughout the parks, it can be a bit harder to spot them – you really have to know where to look! Using the MyDisneyExperience app gives you a map and timeframes of all the characters and when you can find them at the parks.

However, some of the wait times – especially for princesses or popular characters – can reach over an hour long, so you really want to know which character meet & greets are worth your time. Today, I’m going to share with you the Best Character Meet & Greets at Magic Kingdom to make the most of your visit!

All the Princesses!

Princess Fairytale Hall

Despite having one of the longest wait times at the parks, this character meet & greet is one of the best.

After your long wait, you are greeted by not one but two Princesses – and there is a second line and room on the other side of the Hall where you can meet two additional Princesses. Be sure to ride the carousel in between the lines to break things up a bit (it averages a 5 minute wait time).

Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theatre

Not all Mickey meet & greets are created equal – and this one is hands down the best!

Right after you enter the parks, pop into Town Square Theatre where there are lines for Tinkerbell and Mickey Mouse. This is no ordinary Mickey Mouse – he speaks! Your child can engage with and have a great conversation with Mickey that they will cherish.

This character meeting is a great way to kick off your visit to the parks!

Woody & Jessie

Frontierland really delivers on the double-character meetings (possibly because it’s mostly for grown-ups) and this one is a favorite with kids.

The line is always short, but they only meet at select times throughout the day so check your app!

Cinderella’s Royal Table or Crystal Palace

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that the best way to meet characters (and not have to wait in line) is to combine a character meeting with a meal!

Character Meet and Greet

Dining at Disney isn’t cheap but if you can afford to have at least one character meal during your visit you won’t regret it! Cinderella’s Royal Table has gourmet selections and 5 Princesses that come directly to your table, while Crystal Palace is a buffet with the characters from Winnie the Pooh!

You can always use one of your FastPasses to book your meet & greet with the characters that are available all day (like the princesses) to bypass the crazy lines, and no one will stop you if you want to line up early for the occasional characters – just ask a cast member to ensure you are waiting in the right spot!
