Dance Parties in Calgary

If your kids love to dance, you’re in luck – there are lots of studios in Calgary that offer dance parties!

The choice is overwhelming, in fact, so I’ve broken it all down for you right here. This is a list of EVERY studio that does dance parties, along with info about the cost, ages, and what you get. I’ve provided the base costs here, but at most studios, you can bring extra guests for an additional charge.

Absolute Dance 

Location: #20 3616 52nd Ave NW, Calgary

Ages: 3 – 14

Cost: $250

What you get: 

  • 45-minute ballet or hip hop class
  • 45 minutes for gifts and food (provided by you)
  • A piece of Absolute Dance merch for the birthday child
  • Themed cups, plates, napkins, and balloons (princess, cars, fairies, superheroes, etc)
  • 10 kids max

Alive Danceworks

Location: #401 722 85th St SW, Calgary

Ages: 3 and up

Cost: Starts at $250

What you get:

  • 45 minute dance class
  • 45 minutes for gifts and food
  • Balloons, tablecloth, plates, forks and spoons
  • Alive Danceworks gift for birthday child
  • For an additional $100, the instructor will lead the kids in a craft so they all have something to bring home.
  • 12 kids max

Ambition Performing Arts 

Location: #205 2002 Luxstone Blvd, Airdrie

Ages: 4 – 10

Cost: $180 (parties technically start at $100, but these include a 60 min dance class only, and no time for cake or presents)

What you get: 

  • 1 hour dance class (ballet, hop hop, or jazz)
  • Use of lobby / kitchen for cake and gifts
  • APA invitations and thank you cards
  • 10 kids max

Brightpath Studios

Location: Springborough (aka Brite Studio), McKenzie Towne and Chestermere

Ages: 3 – 6 years

Cost: $195 ($25 for each additional 15 minutes if you take longer than 15 minutes to clean up)

What you get: 

  • 45 minute dance class
  • 1 hour for cake and presents
  • Themes: Dancing Diva, Hip Hop Holla, Broadway Baby, Dancing Princesses
  • 12 kids max
  • Note: no parties in July and August

Dance with France

Location: 104-8408 Elbow Dr SW, Calgary

Ages: 4 to adult

Cost: $195

What you get: 

  • 1 hour dance class of your choice
  • 1 hour in the green room for food and presents
  • Special gift for the birthday child
  • 30 people max

Carlos Amat, Wildrose Arts Centre

Decidedly Jazz Danceworks

Location: 1514 4th St SW, Calgary

Ages: All ages

Cost: $175

What you get: 

  • 1 hour dance class
  • 1 hour in the DJD lounge
  • 10 kids max

Infinite Creations Dance Studio

Location: Unit 1A 5403 Crowchild Trail NW

Ages: 4 – 15

Cost: $180

What you get: 

  • 45 minute dance class, customized for your child
  • 15 – 20 minute craft / activity
  • Studio rental for cake and presents (1 hour)
  • 10 children max

Soul Connexion 

Location: Unit 28 12192 Symons Valley Road NW, Calgary

Ages: 3 and up

Cost: $200 and up

What you get: 

  • A 45-minute dance, yoga or fitness class (longer classes available)
  • 45 minutes in the studio for cake & presents (bring a tablecloth, as there are no tables & chairs)
  • $10 gift card for each guest
  • 10 guests max (basic party package)

Summit School of Dance 

Location: 115 – 10 Copperstone Street SE, Calgary

Ages: 3 and up

Cost: $225

What you get: 

  • 1 hour dance class
  • 30 minutes for cake and presents
  • Free t-shirt for the birthday child
  • 15 guests max
Wildflower Arts Centre

Location: 3363 Spruce Dr SW

Ages: 4 – 5 and 6 – 12

Cost: $180

What you get: 
  • A 1-hour dance class (hip hop, jazz, ballet, creative, or rhythm)
  • Genre and music are guided by your child’s choice of any theme (such as Ballet Fairy Tale, where boys plays knights and dragons, or Radio Rock Star)
  • Party room rental for cake and gifts is available for an additional fee
  • Max 11 kids (for 4 – 5 year olds) or 14 kids (6 – 12 year olds)
